Winter Fun

We're keeping busy this winter, but having Abby around makes us take time to get lots of play into our lives too!

Abby helped out at the Wild Wooley Spinner's January spin day where we constructed an afghan of squares we had each knit for our friend battling cancer.

Abby has gotten to the point where she LOVES bath time. It is full of splashing, shrieking, and trying to bail out of the ducky bathtub.

We all went for a drive to Lemon Reservoir and had a snow picnic.

We found a small hill to do some sledding.

Abby had lots of fun.

First Food and Sledding

It was a time of many firsts. Abby ate her first solid food - bananas - and LOVED it! We had a snowstorm go through and we took Abby for her first sledding experience. That entertained her for a whole fifteen minutes.

Don't let the face fool you - she gobbled up the banana.

Everyone is all decked-out for the sledding experience.

Dad made a track first, then it was time for Abby's first run.

Then we progressed up to the bigger slope.

She even did a run by herself. :-P

She took a run with Grandma Dyer.

Then a run with Grandpa Dyer. Weee!

Stocking & Kitty Tail

The best present this Christmas was from our friend Paula. She hand-dyed and hand-knit a stocking for Abby! It was amazing and so appreciated (since Mom didn't get around to making a stocking for Abby).

Just so you all know, Abby was laughing while Norman kitty flipped his tail in her face. This video unfortunately doesn't catch the laughter well, but shows her delight nonetheless.
