Chaco Canyon

Abby is doomed to be immersed in archaeology. It was a big deal to take her on her first visit to Chaco Canyon National Historic Park.

Andrews Lake Hike & Dinner with the Hollands

Grandma Dyer's sister, Linda, came into town this week. She helped us get ready for the Taos Wool Festival, but we also found time to see some sights. We went up to Andrew's Lake and took a short jaunt up the trail to Crater Lake. It was gorgeous! Afterward, we went to Jim & Nancy Holland's house for dinner. Baja tacos - yum!

Week Six

Abby continued to be more and more interactive this week, busy cooing and wiggling and holding her head up.

It's turned chilly here, and we have had to break out the cool weather outfits for Abby. Here she's in a sweater her mom wore when she was little!

She continues to charm everyone who meets her...

...And Grandma & Grandpa Evans were no exception!

Week Five

Abby is starting to make noises and respond to playing. She is smiling like crazy when she's not thinking about fussing.

She loves hanging out with Dad.

And makes lots of great faces at him.

She loves her reclining high chair where she's up and can look around.

Grandma & Grandpa Reeder came to visit.

And of course couldn't get enough of little Abigail.

Not quite big enough for her bouncy play-thingy-aroo, but with a little supervision and some books, almost!

Labor Day Hike

We went up La Plata Canyon for a "short" hike on Labor Day Sunday. Three miles on a very rocky 4-wheel road, 1,000 vertical feet, and one very dirty diaper later, our short hike left everyone except Abby exhausted!

Abby got a free ride once again. As soon as we started hiking, a rainstorm blew in and dropped a ton of rain and some hail on us. Abby slept through it all.
