Thanksgiving and more

Abby had fun on her first Thanksgiving. What more can I say?

She really is a happy baby.

She loves mirrors and seeing everyone in them.

She helped Dad excavate around the cistern for some last-minute repairs before winter set in.

Grandpa Dyer and Abby were exhausted during preparations for the Thanksgiving day meal.

Dinner was delicious!

And Abby was so excited about it that she fell asleep.

She wore a special outfit - complete with bunny slippers - for the event.

She helped Dad write some code.

Hmm...

Halloween and First Snow (Weeks 13-14)

Time has flown this past month. Abby is changing in so many ways. The first part of November was full of so many fun firsts - first snow, first rolling over, first time in her big-girl crib! Next thing you know, she'll be in college. :-P

Abby was a putty-tat for Halloween.

She helped Grandma Dyer dig up the beets she will get to eat this winter.

Here she is hanging out with our Sheltand ram, Duncan.

Abby was very excited to get geared up to see snow for the first time!

The whole family went out together into the snow.

The ewes were very curious about Abby in her bear suit.

We were all pretty happy about the whole experience.

Staged photo of Abby in her crib for the last time. *sniff* She's getting so big!

Oh, the big-girl crib is so nice!

Up to no good. Don't believe that innocent face.

Norman loves the play gym as much as Abby.

Abby loves looking in mirrors.

We all took a trip to Del Norte to get new Shetland sheep. Abby was a trooper.

Awww...she's so cute in her Fair Isle hat knitted for her by Mom!

And of course we had to document her rolling over.

Weeks Eleven thru Twelve

Well, the time has gotten away from us. The rest of October has passed since we last blogged about Abby. She's been growing like crazy and working on attempting to roll. She giggled (at her dad) for the first time. Very exciting.
She loves her rabbit (thanks Carole!) and is learning to grasp her toys.

Stan and Oskar came over, hung out with Abby, and watched some football.

Abby took her first plane flight. It was so exciting she slept the whole way.

Abby charmed her way right into Joanne's arms.

Grandma Evans enjoyed some quality time with Abby.

We all explored Grandma & Grandpa Evans' farm. The fall colors were gorgeous.

Such a pretty place.

Abby enjoyed the fall colors so much she fell asleep again.

She's actually awake in this photo, admiring her first osage orange fruit (a.k.a. monkey brains).

Now that's a burn pile. No fire danger, I guess.

Abby next to a picture of Grandma Evan as a baby.

Grandpa Evans hanging out with Abby as she attempts to roll.

Grandma Evans, Dad, and Abby!

Good photo op with Mom.

Abby got to meet Mike at breakfast.

Abby sported a wild zebra outfit for the trip home.

Rest in peace, Grandma. We'll miss you.
